IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
Our Can-Am X3 front end double shear kit is the most complete and toughest kit available for the race market. This set up fixes multiple issues and corrects a lot of problems brought on by pushing the limits in race applications.
One major issue that a lot of people experience is the differential mounting plates cracking and breaking out of the frame. This is where we began with this kit. Plates attach to the lower chassis below the differential. the plates run fully from the further most forward part of the frame all the way to the rear lower control arm mounting tabs. By doing this we are able to tie in completely from the front to the back of the car in one solid section totally encapsulating the OEM frame and avoided cracks and fatigue from stress.
One thing that puts this set up out front is that we also incorporate a multi piece tab and slot design front end section that creates a full weld in double shear set up for the control arms. These pieces also sandwich and weld to the OEM frame creating an almost indestructible true double shear front end that you can rely on.
We have also created a bolt in front bulkhead that is designed for strength but also purposely engineered with a "crumple" zone. In the event of a harsh front end impact the bulkhead is designed to deflect and absorb some of that energy keeping that high shock load impacts from the actual frame itself. This is just a design safety feature to protect you as a racer as well as your vehicle.
This kit also includes tubes for a push bar style bumper. This bumper comes with multiple hole selections so that it is adjustable and able to accommodate different tire sizes and still be legal in most race sanctioning bodies rule book.
Winch mounts are not included in this kit, however we will list those separately for those wishing to run a winch.
