The factory steering rack dowel pins have become known as a weak link in the Maverick R steering system. Under aggressive driving, larger tires, racing, or repeated hard impacts, the OEM pins can deform or shear, and or crack allowing unwanted movement between the steering components.
CA Tech's Steering Rack Dowel Pins are engineered to eliminate that weak point.
Each pin is precision CNC machined from premium 4140 chromoly steel, providing significantly greater shear strength than the factory component. In addition to the stronger material, our pins feature a thicker wall for increased cross-sectional strength while maintaining the proper fit and function.
Unlike mass-produced OEM components, every CA Tech dowel pin is machined to tighter tolerances for a more precise fit. The result is reduced play, improved load distribution, and a more secure connection inside the steering rack assembly.
